Checkering Sets

All of our Checkering Sets come with a free Checkering Gage, Checkering Guide, and Checkering Pattern Sheet.

Premier Set is designed to provide the serious gun stock maker with everything needed to checker the most complex as well as simple patterns. It features the new Jointer tool used to layout precise master lines essential for a superior checkering pattern. The Spacers have offset handle shanks providing good visibility behind the cutting action. Tools required to cut fancy borders such as fleur-de-lis and darts are included. The set has both the slotted and the file type finishing cutters. A Pin Holder for 1/16" spirol pins is included for easy replacement of worn cutters.

The Premier Set includes 9 tools (handles with cutters): Jointer, Pin Holder, 2-Edge Spacer, 3-Edge Spacer, Border-Vex, V-Edger, Pointer-Long (fine cut), Veiner Chisel, Checker-Gage Rule, Instructions and Sample Pattern Layout Designs. Jointer and Spacer tools are 60°, V-Edger and Pointer-Long single line tools are 90°, Forend Marking Gage.

Camp Perry Set is complete for the professional or hobbiest gun stock maker. It will do the job from start to finish and is a balanced combination of the fast cutting slotted as well as finishing cutters. Inclusion of the Veiner tool is very handy for those fancy borders and tight curving lines. The 3-Edge Spacer included is useful for equalizing the checkering rows, assuring a more accurate pattern.

Leader Set provides the essential assortment of tools for the beginner to get well started and to complete a fine checkering pattern. Tools and interchangable cutters can be added to the set later for fancy or more complex patterns.
